CELEBRITIES: NOLLYWOOD DIVORCE SAGA

Our ladies in the movie industry in Nigeria just keep changing men like diapers. In the last couple of years what has reared its ugly head out of Nollywood are stories of divorce. With the recent divorce of Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele, it is no longer news that a lot of marriages which involve crème de la crème Nollywood actresses ended in another sad love story. Funke’s drama with husband of barely one year tops the list, given the glamour that accompanied the solemnization of their marriage and the manner in which the separation was relayed to the populace.

Most often than not, these super stars knew they were diving into troubled waters but for one reason or another they just didn’t give a damn. Funke Akindele’s husband was known to have fathered over ten children by different women before Funke decided to settle down with him.

Monalisa Chinda, who is romancing Lanre Nzeribe cannot say she is so wet behind the ears not to know that the guy is known as a top playboy. Many Nollywood actresses have also married at the expense of some other women who have had to relinquish their men to their beauty, fame and influence.

At least the methodology deployed by the husband, choosing Facebook to break the divorce news made Funke to have many sympathizers. That could have emboldened Funke, because she has since shrugged it off and is already painting the town red as she was spotted in many public outings.

Chika Ike Crashed Marriage….

Chika Nancy Ike was born November 8, 1985. She is a UN Ambassador and Nigerian actress, CEO of Fancy Nancy Collections. Chika is also a Human Kinetics and Health Education graduate from the University of Lagos.

In 2005, she landed her first roles in the movies Sweet love and Bless the Child, directed by T. Chidi Chikere. She is a two-time African Movie Academy Award nominee. In 2006 she was nominated for best upcoming actress and in 2009 she was nominated for best supporting actress. She founded "Chika Ike (Help A Child)" foundation.

Chika Ike got married to Tony Eberiri in June 2006, although she has been separated from her husband, for almost two years but the glee with which she announced the divorce granted to her on July 26 2013 by an Abuja High Court; two months after filing for divorce, set adrift once again another divorce saga which has an uncanny resemblance to that of Funke Akindele’s.

While Funke’s husband, Kehinde Oloyede took to Facebook to announce his separation from his wife, Chika chose Twitter to tell her fans that “she was finally free of Tony Eberiri”. “I’m now officially divorced. Thanks,” she tweeted.

The INFO EXTRA gathered from a reliable source that the Ekwuluobia, Umuchiana Village, Anambra State born actress, spread all sorts of falsehood against her husband to secure a divorce from the "ordinary" man.
After making some money, which some say could be traced to sugar daddies, Chika Ike decided to dump her husband at all cost, as he longer match her "new class". Even after she got the divorce the actress went further to lie against the man on the social media that he was a wife beater.
The man somehow saw the story and has sent a strong warning to Chika Ike:

Mr Tony Eberiri was said to have sent her a clear warning to stop spreading further lies about him otherwise he is going to expose all her dirty acts.

Funke and Chika may now be on the spot but they have a long list of others before them. While a lot has been speculated on why these marriages fail, investigations have revealed that top on the list are abuse, infidelity, violence and what they have come to term ‘irreconcilable differences’.

Chika Ike’s Open Letter To Her Fans

Nollywood actress, Chika Ike in an open letter to her fans, described how she suffered physical abuse in the hands her husband for five years. Below is an open letter from the star actress, Chika Ike.

The past three years has been a very emotional period for me. I focused my energy on work and to build back my self esteem. its been really hard for me to come out straight and talk about this because sometimes I pinch myself to wake up and not believe that I was a victim of domestic violence. I’ve been through a lot in my life, faced a lot of challenges but this is one topic I’ve tried so hard to avoid and have been waiting for the right time but I have come to a resolve that there’s really no right time because every second of the day, lives are being lost due to domestic violence. I was a victiim of domestic violence in my marriage and that was the singular reason I left my marriage, aside other reasons.

Growing up as a girl. I was always known as the sweetest kid on the block, before I got married, I have been through some relationships and for once no man had ever laid a finger on me. The first time it happened in my marriage I didn’t understand it because I am not the type of woman a man beats but I guess there are no types. It just happens and no woman deserves it. As a young girl I thought it was love or his way of expressing his emotions, after every beating he pleads , cries and says it won’t happen again, once again I thought it was love and made excuses for him. Over the years when it kept happening consistently I started looking for other definitions for it. I started loosing myself pride, self esteem , self worth, and most painfully i lost a pregnancy (Miscarriage) I almost lost my life in the process then I realised how serious and abnormal it really was.

I have heard and read a lot of accusations from ignorant people who don’t know my story,I guess that’s why they are ignorant. I was 20yrs old and very naïve to the world when I got married .“ They said I married for money“ LOL. I was married to a corporate guy,who had a 9_5 job in a bank, Lives in a rented 2 bedroom apartment at Egbe.. So do the maths! . I married for love. I did a traditional wedding. A white wedding and a court wedding. So that’s how much I wanted to be married forever. For five years I hoped, prayed & wished that one day it will all change. But the last straw that broke the carmels back was during a heated argument he threw a glass jug to my face and I dogged it and it shattered on d wall. I saw death flash before me and I made a decision to save my life. I left my marriage.

Am not saying this to draw pity from anyone because we are entitled to our opinions and believes. I am not also saying this to discourage people from falling in love because its a beautiful feeling and I still believe in it. I am saying this to educate, share and talk about my experience as a victim of domestic violence because it is real.
Monalisa Chinda

We would like to announce to the general public on behalf of Nollywood star actress, Laide Bakare that she has officially opted out of her relationship with Mr. Okunfulire, her former husband.

While it lasted, the actress showed the utmost level of maturity, in spite of the “glaring injustice’ from her former husband. Laide has endured the marriage with Mr. Okunfulire to whom she displayed total affection.

But things fell apart when she discovered that she was indeed married to a man with a legally married wife and two children not a single man she thought he was as told her by Mr. Okunfulire when the relationship started.

But, being a celebrity who has become a model to young persons in the society, coupled with the need to exercise decorum, she has kept fate with the marriage until lately when she could no longer continue and then called it quit.

Her former union with Mr. Okunfulire produced a beautiful child, Similoluwa who is nicknamed Chelsea.

Meanwhile, Laide has just entered into a new relationship with a Lagos based popular businessman, Mr. Tunde Oriowo a.k.a ATM. The relationship began late last 2012 and culminated in the lovers officially sealing it with the Muslim rites called Nikkai, at a quiet ceremony in Lagos attended by trusted associates and close family members from both sides.

Laide Bakare and Mr. Tunde Oriowo will be holding the wedding proper with a big bash before the end of 2013.

Stella Damasus's estranged husband, Emeka Nzeribe might be suing her and her new husband, Daniel Ademinokan soon. Emeka told some of his friends that the actress has no right to re-marry since they were yet to be properly divorced.

The controversial Nollywood actress got married secretly to her colleague’s ex-husband outside of the country few months ago, a story which was later leaked to the public.

Saheed and Fathia Balogun.....

The controversial divorce of two prominent yoruba movie stars, Fathia and saidi balogun is still a matter that is generating an eyebrow among their teeming fans. The both love birds parted ways on the basis of individual ego and other counter acquisitions coming from the two famous movie guru. Since their separation, several issues involved the two prominent movie stars were revealed to the public which still remain an amazing part of the separation.

Shortly after their divorce, it was gathered that Saidi Balogun re-married to a London based big babe but the union collapsed in a day time. Also rumor had it that James bond of Naija movie actor saidi balogun had a hot romance with the star actress, funke adesiyan which later turned out to be the most celebrated controversial romance. The relationship crashed as a result of what funke described as hell of her dear life.

Also fathia balogun sometime ago, proposed to become a new bridegroom to an American based big boy, but the marriage could not hold because the charming prince was still legally marry to his wife. But the Edo born talented actress disclosed the proposed marriage to the said guy was a tools she used to woe the general public and to get a media attention because she claimed that she was in no time plan any marriage with anybody. Fathia’s response can certainly brew up a battle of the fittest because it would be re-called that saidi balogun once said in an interview that he would soon stop fathia from appending BALOGUN to her name which the star actress remain adamant and described the decision as a child’s play.

Before she recovers from one scandal or controversy, she is neck deep into another. Star actress Fathia Balogun seems not to be bothered by her name being the headlines for all the wrong reasons.

The duo who initially sat at the VIP section of the hall where London-based juju singer,Sunny Melody was performing obviously had a wonderful time while the show lasted. This put a peg to insinuations that the duo were romantically linked.

Fathia drove Goriola’s Honda Element car to the event with the number plate ‘FB’ an acronym for Fathia Balogun which she used on her Nissan Jeep that no one can explain why she refused to ride in it for about a year. The duo have been reportedly sighted hugging, kissing and cuddling.

For the records, Fathia’s marriage to Saheed Balogun broke up about 3 years ago and since then she has been romantically linked with several Yoruba movie actors and a prominent marketer.

Goriola’s marriage to Ayo Adesanya packed up more than 2 years ago and since then he has not been linked with any actress or known babe.

CURRENT AFFAIRS: Court orders PDP to accept Uba as Anambra candidate

There was a twist on 28th August 2013 to the candidacy of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the November 16th 2013 Anambra State governorship election.
A Federal High Court sitting in Port Harcourt ordered the PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to recognise the candidate elected by the Ejike Oguebego-led faction of Anambra State PDP.
Senator Andy Uba won the primary. But Tony Nwoye won the primary conducted by the Ken Emekeyi-led faction of the party. Both congresses were held last Saturday in Awka.
PDP Chairman Bamaga Tukur yesterday gave the certificate of return to Nwoye as the party’s flag bearer.
Senator Andy Uba told the court presided over by Justice H.A. Nganjiwa that the primaries that produced him as the candidate followed the laid down procedures. Joined in the suit as defendants are the PDP national leadership and INEC.
The suit was filed before last weekend’s primaries. Oguebego, the state secretary of the PDP, Chief Gilbergt Okoye, and the Legal Adviser, Chucks Okoye sued for themselves and on behalf of the State Executive Committee of the PDP.
Justice Nganjiwa ordered that the result of the primaries conducted by the Ejike Oguebego-led executive, where Uba emerged as the candidate, should be upheld, pending the hearing and determination of the suit by the applicants.
He said the PDP and INEC should accept the results that emerged from the wards and state congress, pending the hearing and determination of the motion on notice or hearing and determination of the motion to set aside the interim order.
The judge said: “The first and second defendants are to forthwith comply with the order of this honourable court made on the 26th of August, 2013.”
Prior to the ruling, the court gave an exparte order restraining both the INEC and PDP from dealing with the Ken Emeakayi faction, pending the hearing of the main application. The court adjourned the matter till tomorrow.
However, at the meeting of the PDP National Working Committee (NWC) in Abuja, Tukur pronounced Nwoye the winner of the primaries and governorship candidate, following the report of Katsina State Governor Ibrahim Shema, his Gombe counterpart, Ibrahim Dankwambo, and Senate Leader Victor Ndoma-Egba, who monitored the primaries.
Nwoye was yesterday presented with a certificate of return by the national chairman.
The presentation came just as the Uba brothers, Andy and Chris, shunned the summon extended to them by the leadership of the PDP.
Also summoned alongside the Uba brothers were Chief Benji Udeozor and Mrs. Tonia Nwankwo. They were ordered to appear before the party’s leadership at 10am yesterday. None of them honoured the invitation.
They were summoned to explain their roles in the conduct of the August 24 parallel primary election through which Andy Uba emerged as PDP candidate.
Shortly after collecting his certificate, Nwoye told reporters that he remained the authentic candidate of the party.
The Southeast zone also insisted that Nwoye is the party’s candidate. The zone’s position was made known during its Zonal Executive Committee meeting in Enugu on 28th August 2013.
Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, Governors of Ebonyi and Abia states Chief Martin Elechi and Theodore Orji, House of Representatives Deputy Speaker Emeka Ihedioha, Senator Hope Uzodinma and former PDP National Chairman Vincent Ogbulafor, among others, attended.
The Southeast PDP Publicity Secretary, Ali Odefa, who read the communique at the end of the meeting, said the zoning arrangement for all PDP’s National Working Committee given to the Southeast Zone had been retained.
He, however, stated that elections for the positions would take place, adding that people would be advised not to contest for positions that were not zoned to their states.
According to Odefa, the leadership of the party passed a vote of commendation on people from the Southeast zone that held positions in the NWC of the party in the past.

BIZZARE: Murdered Man With Penis In Mouth

Remílson Martins murdered with his penis removed and stuck in his mouth.

I was to say that Brazil is like Mexico already, but Brazil is so messed up, it doesn’t need to mimic anyone. Mexico would still be my first guess if you told me that there was a murdered man with cocks and balls cut off and shoved up his dead mouth, but Brazil would still slide as close second.
I don’t know about you, but no matter how pissed off I’d get with someone, even if I were to quarter him alive while blow torch slowly burns hole up his rectum, I would still refrain from touching his Johnson. I can imagine dissecting the shit out of girl’s clit, but I’m not feeling anyone’s junk, not even if I had rubber gloves on. Clearly, the murderer of this fellow felt otherwise.

Body of a man with hands and feet tied with a rope and penis with balls severed and placed in mouth was discovered in Distrito de Livramento, in the city of Santa Rita, Paraibe, Brazil.

The victim was identified as 37 year old Remílson Martins. He was strangled to death with a rope. 10 years ago, Remílson Martins was arrested on suspicion of molesting his 10 year old niece. He was an alcoholic and not very popular among the locals because of his alleged sexual advances towards children.
It sounds like the community came together to murder the suspected child molester. That doesn’t make them any better, does it? Besides, whoever castrated the man, must have touched his junk. Maybe the cutter put the severed cock in his mouth before stuffing victim’s face with it. If you’re going gay, may as well go all in.

CURRENT AFFAIRS: The severity of Governor Danbaba Suntai's Brain Damage became obvious to the leadership of the Taraba State House of Assembly who visited him today

A surprise invitation was extended to the lawmakers to meet Mr. Suntai after a group of state legislators threatened to commence the ailing governor's impeachment. One of the lawmakers who saw Mr. Suntai said the sudden invitation was designed to placate lawmakers.
The delegation of lawmakers was led by the speaker of the Taraba State Assembly, Haruna Tsokwa. Our sources revealed that the legislators met Mr. Suntai who was seated on a couch struggling to speak some words to the delegates. They disclosed that Mr. Suntai did not recognize any of the lawmakers. His speech was characterized as garbled, confused and mostly inaudible, according to one source. He added that, at one point, the brain-injured governor managed to say that one of them was his "big deputy." The person he referred to then told Mr. Suntai that he was not his deputy.
Our sources added that the bizarre meeting convinced the assembly leadership that Mr. Suntai was incapable of running the state. They retreated to a meeting at the state assembly. The meeting ended and the lawmakers left without addressing the media, the promised to return to the chambers tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the cabal tied to Mr. Suntai that has sought to maneuver the sick governor back in office this evening carried out another charade by swearing in some so-called "newly appointed" government officials in the state. The alleged swearing-in took place at the governor's dining room without any member of his executive council or security chiefs in attendance. There was no judicial officer in sight to administer the oath
Mr. Suntai was made to seat on one of the chairs and at a point given a paper to read. A witness said it was unclear what he tried to do with the paper, at a point he spoke a few words in Hausa but for the rest of the event his voice was inaudible throughout the charade.
According Saharareporters, the "bizarre announcement" was hatched by Mrs. Hauwa Suntai, the wife of Mr. Suntai, who is "illegally occupying the government house" and uses her ailing husband as "a shield".
A source in the camp of the Acting governor, Alhaji Garba Umar, revealed to Saharareporters that the cabinet dissolution by Mr. Suntai's wife carries "no effect".
Residents were "urged to disregard the purported dissolution of the cabinet and go about their normal duties."
The acting governor and several commissioners, including security chiefs in the state, attended a meeting where they planned to adequately respond to the ruse, the source stated.

"He offered a salvation path for oppressed and oppressors alike. His words belong to the ages, possessing a power and prophecy unmatched in our time," Obama said.
The US leader also remembered the thousands of African Americans who joined King's March on Washington to demand their rights and to wake their country's "long slumbering conscience."
Barack Obama, who has faced some criticism for not doing more to help the African American community, which remains plagued by poverty and barriers to advancement, dismissed arguments that little had changed for blacks since King spoke.
"To dismiss the magnitude of this progress, to suggest, as some sometimes do, that little has changed - that dishonors the courage and the sacrifice of those who paid the price to march in those years," he said.
But he also argued that much work remained to be done for King's dream to be fulfilled.
"We would dishonor those heroes as well to suggest that the work of this nation is somehow complete.
"The arc of the moral universe may bend towards justice, but it doesn't bend on its own.
"To secure the gains this country has made requires constant vigilance, not complacency," Obama said.
The president was joined at the ceremony on the National Mall in the center of Washington by former presidents Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.
Carter bemoaned the "racist bullet" that claimed King's life in 1968.
Clinton said that it was time to open the "stubborn gates" barring wider opportunity.
"The choice remains as it was on that distant summer day 50 years ago. Cooperate and thrive or fight with each other and fall behind."

CURRENT AFFAIRS: ….Anambra PDP Crisis: Senator Andy Uba Absent At PDP Disciplinary Panel

Senator Andy Uba, the winner of the parallel primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State, was sighted in the Asokoro District of Abuja on Wednesday, August 28,2013 when he and four other members of the party were supposed to appear before the PDP disciplinary panel at the national secretariat of the party.
They were summoned to explain why they organised a separate congress in the state last Saturday, August 24, where Uba was elected as its governorship candidate for Anambra November 16 election. The other four members are Uba's younger brother, Chris, and Ejike Oguebego, Benji Udepzor and Tonia Nwankwu.
At the primary attended by the party officials Hon. Tony Nwoye was elected as the party's candidate.
The erring party members were directed to appear before the NWC by 10 a.m. on Wednesday, but none of them showed up at time of this report.
Although there were speculations at the PDP national secretariat that Uba had travelled outside country and therefor could not appear before the NWC, the senator was sighted in Asokoro District in Abuja on Wednesday afternoon. The attempts to contacts Uba have been unsuccessful so far.

Also on Wednesday, the National Chairman of the PDP, Bamanga Tukur, presented a certificate of return to Nwoye, at a short ceremony held at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja. Tukur said he did not know the party’s flag-bearer until he emerged the winner at last Saturday’s primary election:
“That is how it should be. If we do things transparently, honestly and with commitment, PDP will always arrive at the right thing. You have made us proud.”

He also said upon his assumption of office as the national chairman and in line with President Goodluck Jonathan’s quest for one-man-one vote, he had declared that a level-playing field would be provided for every member of the PDP seeking elective offices while equity and justice would begin to reign in the party.
Speaking to journalists after the ceremony, Nwoye said his emergence was God’s design because he was never considered as one of the top aspirants before the primary election. Nwoye, a former state chairman of PDP in Anambra State and former President of National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, also explained that he did not labour much to secure the ticket last Saturday as he did when he contested election into the House of Representatives in 2011, though he was denied the right of taking his seat in the House.
If elected, he added, he would empower the suffering masses of Anambra State and ensure adequate security in the state so that its indigenes would no longer take refuge in the neighbouring states of Enugu and Delta.

It will be reminded, that the parallel primaries took place on 24 August 2013. The PDP leadership disapproved the primary held by the faction chaired by Ejike Oguebeogu and recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), where Mr. Uba was elected as its governorship candidate. After that, PDP summoned Uba to appear before a disciplinary panel to "show cause why disciplinary action should not be taken against them.”
